Wow, so you aren't too far from the Rose Gardens? I gotta say, those hills and houses on the way up are amazing. We would try to live up there if we didn't settle across the river. I wish my wife was bar certified in Oregon, we would make that move if she was.

Nope, I'm just a short walk away. It's a nice area but parking is a nightmare.

And, the walk up to the Japanese gardens is a nightmare. When we went, it was free admission, and EVERYONE was there. It was tough, but beautiful.

              Great pics..
I took a trip out there 14 years ago for a wedding and enjoyed it quite a bit. I'd like to get back out there sometime in the future..

                  oh crap! you're right. Dang.
As far as getting in touch, the guys and I will be back next summer on our Skateboard trip, we will def. get in touch with you guys and party. With the wife it's a different kind of trip. I rode Burnside years ago, and i took her down there to see it, didn't ride it this time though due to the rain and her being overwhelmed by the sight of it. We have built parks here in ATL, but none like Bside. We walked over to a friends bar after that and had food and some beers.
Next summer will be different, we will be on a mission to ride, meet people, and have a good time.
Same with SF, I saw all the old spots we used to ride, but with no board and DLX not in our plans to swing by, no skating could be had.

Portland was full of welcoming, helpful, and generally pleasant people. We had a blast. The food trucks are insane!!!!!!!!
We ate here our last night and it was absolutely incredible. On par with Atlanta's best small restaurants.
