im really damn sad right now

    set the stage:

my dad and i had been working on his Karmann Ghia Cabriolet (fairly rare in cabrio)
did a frame off on it, car was painted and ready for assembly had all the hard work done car was parked in the back lot of the shop until we could find some time to work on it ( i have a 2002 project and a e30 m3 project currently)

    conditions:
it has been raining a lot lately in the bay area, didnt think much of it...
i think you know whats coming.....

came in to the shop this morning, look out the bay door, and see somehting odd?
keep on walking out a fucking tree smashed the Ghia !!!!!
i said "holy shit" and "oh my god" like 50 million times, i couldnt belive it.
hundreds of hours down the drain.

oh and it completely missed a piece of shit 90's saturn right next to it!
considering that it is a cabrio we are for sure going to rebuild it but its heart breaking
car had no insurance because it is a non op since it was a project
donations to get this bad girl looking nice again would be appreciated :)
    anyways
    didn't happen without pics right?

Gods way of telling you to forget the VW and restore the Saturn.

what about home owners insurance. That would pay for the falling tree smashing the car.

Better take out that other tree before it slams your Xterra!

Geez, that does suck. I wanted a ghia as my 1st project car back in the day. Rare indeed. I guess this will give you more time to focus on the 2002.

That Saturn took most of the weight of the tree. The Ghia's front clip doesn't look too bad from the pics. Could be saved?
