What's the turnaround time for some dent/ding fixes and a re-spray? Seriously considering the 500 mile trip, trying to budget for hotel & gas.

Maybe some other SoCal guys would caravan up?

Oliver is a stand-up guy who will be completely honest with you about what to expect from what you want to spend. He's not a salesman, just a fellow enthusiast who happens to run a shop, and from what I've heard and seen him and his guys definitely know how to lay down some paint.

Oliver, I'm not going to paint the E30 yet but I may at least have some minor repair work for you. We'll talk later.

              I HAVE AN IDEA.

I dont know if this will make you much money/worth it.

But would you be interested in painting parts?

              For example:
Painting iS lips, skirts, spoilers, etc?

I need some paint work done, and dont mind shipping them.

Maybe this could keep you busy. Someone is always wanting smaller parts done.

i could do your parts the only problem with that is that e30s are really old and paint will not match exactly without the car here and blending panels.
i dont want to do something that a customer will not be satisfied with

that, and, i bet neither of you wants to ship body panels through UPS/FedEx- or at least, you won't want to do it more than once.

there is a large risk on parts being damaged in shipping also

yeah, that's what I was referring to. more often than not, would be a waste of time/money for both of ya.

It sucks to hear about the shop man! I will echo what everyone else has said, this is a great offer and I wish I could take you up on it.

I considered tearing down the car and trailer it out there. Gas, time, hotel etc....it would just be too crazy!

Your offer is a cool gesture and just another reason why the E30 community is one of the best.
