For hep C. FML I feel like complete shit. 24 weeks of this. Injections once a week for 24 weeks and 2 pills twice a day. Quality of life will be better in the long run, so that's something to look forward to.
So, I started this treatment today.

As far as I'm aware hepatitis C is permanent, unless there has been some recent advances in that area of medical science.Last edited by Hooffenstein HD; 12-07-2012, 08:08 PM.Comment

Hep C. treatments reduce viral load to undetectable levels and reduces damage to your liver but like any other virus you catch once you have it, its always dormant in your system.
Had friends go through the treatment. Almost like a light dose of chemo. Hope you feel better long term.Comment

It isn't advanced enough to affect my liver yet. They tell me the treatment will make it undetectable. The genotype I have responds to the treatment very well. What the treatment does is builds my own body's immune system to fight off the virus. They have come a long way in treating this type in the last few years.-Andy
