I got the mad automatic [academic merit] scholarships: I applied, they handed me money. I kept a 3.5, they kept giving me more money. Free tution/fees and then $800/semester transfered into my checking account.

I think that thread turned into a good source on why not to fucking mod your car before hitting the track, with reasons explained.

You may actually be more harsh over there than you are here Heeter - if that's possible ;)

Now Josh, remember, not all that long ago we tried being a Rainbow Club of waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles Posters ourselves, and saw the error of our ways... ;)

You know Heeter, I hate to admit it, but I finally started seeing your point in bringing a stock car to HDPE and worrying about mods later. It makes sense to get your seat time in stock trim, learn the limits of the stock car, which are, of course, much lower than those of a modified car, whether it be suspension limitations, power limitations, gearing, tires, whatever - the bottom line is, you learn the "worst case scenario" behavior of your car before modding it.

It's sort of like my parents' mentality when teaching me to drive my first car, an '87 Dodge Caravan - if I learn to drive on this oversized station wagon, I can easily drive anything smaller. Sure enough, driving my friends' hondas and toyotas and VW's were a breeze after piloting Ol' Bessy around.

I've still got my bone stock 87es waiting for a diff and a rear wheel bearing. If I can make it through these next couple of months financially, I just may try your advice and rock it at an HDPE.

Ah Heeter - you are a wise and misunderstood soul.

Yes, god people are retarded. But so are lots of other people.

Can I ride in your race car?

I'm glad you're unbanned (even though you were never gone). this place feels more bright and shiny now...like a rainbow has bestowed upon us...

                ....wait a sec.

Yea. I don't know, they all seem like a bunch of little pussies over there - why can't they just take some constructive criticism and say - hey, maybe you're right - I AM A FLAMING MORON!! :p

Heeter, I have so much respect for you know after reading all of this. I wanted to get a 3.25 differential and probably other things too but after reading all of this, why the hell would I want to do that? I'll be sticking with my basic suspension setup among other things until the spring when I can get some experience. I’ll be proud driving my basically stock eta

haha, thanks. it's hard sometimes (a lot of the time) to get people to understand the whole philosophy, but the elders here and DE instructors at the schools and local track ethusiants and the OGs of Bf.c track/auto-x section have shared it with me, i'm just trying to keep passing it on.

A couple of months ago I visited bmwforums.com (something like that), which was the first forum I joined up for, probably early 2004. Some of my posts and PM I looked at were SCARY. Not as bad as this Eric kid but hell I was only 14-15 at the time. If it wasn't for R3V I would probably be just as bad as this fag.

Now its time to go bleed my clutch. Instead of putting on a wide body kit and a Wal-Mart special turbo kit, which may have happened if you r3v guys didn’t give me a good hazing (I'm still a noob though)

Aren't you the same loser who weighed his car on some ag scale out in the sticks? whos fuh raze now? You folks do realize that when people with money purchase things, and later on wreck them, you can buy them off of them cheap right? This kids project may never happen, but if it is put together then everyone will be all buddy buddy with the kid saying how sweet his car is. The kids a retard, but who cares if/how he has his money... jealous or what?

Oh and please resort to the childish tactic of sifting through my post looking for spelling and grammatical errors, I'm sure there are a few...

I'm the one who saw how much my 325is weighed, yes. That's not FUH RAZE. Ripping out the interior to change that now is. Just curious and seeing how much weight I am is good when comparing to others, and later, myself. Just like dyno'eing your car can give a "baseline".

I don't get buddy buddy with douchebags. And not jealous because he's a moron and is going nowhere in life. Who is envious of that? (heh, a dumbass)
