While tragic that a life was lost, I applaud Ohio for recently enacting the Castle law. Not only did it save this home owner possible harm, hopefully it will send a message to other criminals.
Teenager Shot To Death After Allegedly Breaking Into North Side Home

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police said that a teenager was shot to death while climbing into a northeast side home.
The 17-year-old boy was allegedly breaking into a home, located along Stonecastle Drive, around 8 p.m. Wednesday,
Authorities said that the homeowner started shooting when suspected burglars broke through a window. The other suspected burglars ran away after the shooting.
Investigators were searching for others who were with the teenager at the time of the break in and shooting.
The homeowner was questioned. No charges were filed.
