That's y I'm into the whole electric drift thing. It's all steering & throttle control when you get into countersteer drift. Only thing that sucks is making up track/ practice layouts. Don't think I'd ever get into touring cars.

Only thing that worries me is lipos exploding.

For those wondering about countersteer drifting its all about mimicing real life drift. Unlike 50/50 drift which is more like 4wd rally drifts

^The biggest thing I missed about nitro was the 45 minute to hour long mains, and I loved being the pit man for friends. 5-7 minutes is just a sprint... I felt like I was playing Forza online with electric, very little strategy.

My losi 22, running a traxxas velineon on it. Fun little car, I just don't make it out to threw track as often as I'd like and this thing is NOT a basher.

Looks like that clay/dirt bluegrooves quite nicely! The indoor track in Simi (3-4hrs away which is worth it) was insanely tacky. I think the bulldog bodies are quite ugly though, but to each their own. I miss running 2wd buggy, and after 4 years of running nitro, I won't go back because working about 10hrs a week tearing down my 8th scale buggy, or even the Losi xxx-nt was too much work. Out here electric has taken hold once again, which I was stoked about. I thought I would never tire of a .12 or .21 Italian mill, but the sound now annoys me very much so. It's so nice to be able to chat on stand without getting blury eyes due to the fumes, along with $600 engines sucking dirt, or spending $200-300 for a rebuild. :hitler:

Ya I know that much. I'm not looking for a dedicated crawler. More like a cheap do it all truck. Won't be looking for anything new probably just a roller I can throw my motor in

It won't crawl very well, you can switch the esc to training mode and that's as good as it'll get, without playing with the gearing. Senorless brushless motors aren't up to the crawling task. The VXL esc will run a sensored motor, but not something you want to throw in a brand new rtr truck.

Think I'm going to settle for a 4x4 stampede. Was up in the air between the 4x4 slash & pede, but the pede seems to have everything I want. Semi monster truck that could pull off some light crawling.

Best thing is they don't cost me $100 every time I run them unlike my T-Maxx.

Not saying much can't be done to it however. The tt01 is one of the basic go to beginner drift chassis'

Honestly. Not that much could be done to the tt01. That's worth it anyways. I'd look into upgrading dampers & a brushless/lipo setup.

For brushless setups I'd go for the JustStock Hobbywing ESC & 8.5t Tacon motor. That's going to be your best bang for buck.

You can also lock the rear diff & get a front one way diff. If you look to upgrade for drifto.

Thats what i was wondering, since the chassis kind of on the cheaper end of the hobby scale.

I'm so jelly. Always wanted to get into crawlers but I don't have any spot to crawl. The local hobby shop has a sweet indoor crawl course. It's a mountain with a bridge & all the good stuff, but it's a little out of the way to go crawling often.

I'm looking for a nice electric off road rig, but I don't know what to get. Been thinking about a slash or a losi scte.

There's not really a whole lot of areas "local" to me, most of the good places are a hour or farther away. I don't mind to drive, my rigs are pretty tough just have to make sure you've got plenty of batteries.

As for a good off-road truck, I'd go for a Slash 2x4 or 4x4, maybe look at the 4x4 Stampedes. Those are better bashers than anything, parts support is probably the best.
