I cant get into the flying stuff, the cars just seem more fun, especially since you can bash into things and not have the whole rc explode.

Bumping this dead thread cause why not.

Gonna have to grab a new body and some repair parts soon, starting to feel bad about bashing it so hard haha.

More pics of the XV-01 build:
Plastic spider gears that ill probably upgrade to metal once they break (they probably wont break):

    Assembled with crappy brushed motor:

Disgusting plastic shocks that need to be replaced with losi anodized 8ights

    Finished without stickers:

    A billion stickers later:

Workstation one: Way too hot outside so i moved inside

    Bomb in a box:

    First dirt run:

    oh lordy:

    "weatherproof"

Made a little battery cover thing:

ESC vent cause no room for fan, after i get an SRS4210 (waterproof reciever) im just going to trash the cover entirely and put a fan on the esc, cause it overheats.

    Ghetto airflow:

Real deal driveshaft grease cause tamiyas grease sucks:

Mudflaps make every rally car better:

Rip Gearing, looks like the little screw that holds pinion on fell out, causing the gears to strip themselves:

Slipper, new CVDs, pinion, better front bearings, and maybe some new endlinks on the way. (CVDs cause i lose a front half shaft)

Just bought new shocks, proportionally im probably gonna spend more on this then my real car lol.

Yup. Now I gotta find out where to order 2 big bore shocks only. Figure it ripped the socket off one and bent the other. Going to just swap em both out. Already have an extra set of bulkheads. Will be back up and running in no time, will probably go back to dual servos this time around as well.

I don't think any basher would have survived this one.

Sounds like you have a racer and treat it like a basher lol.

Just broke another chassis. On vacation, hit a speed bump at about 30mph, smooth. Accelerated after the first speed bump, probably hit the second around 50mph. Unfortunately the second speed bump launched it about 6 feet into the air, traveled 30 feet and hit a brick wall, literally.

    Damage assessment:

    Big bore shock bent,
    Front axle
Rpm control arm literally ripped off
    Rpm bulkhead torn
    Skid plate
    Chassis

So, its going back into the closet for another 6 months. And I may be done with 6s. I doubt it though, many laughs were had went that e-maxx made its attempt at low earth orbit.

Funny how it goes nowadays. I pretty much expect the truck to get destroyed every time I take it out.

I picked up a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Platinum 1:10 a few weeks ago, upgraded a bunch of the plastic to RPM and now I bash the hell out of it. Worth every

Added a heatsink and better nerf bars, this thing gets up to 50mph+ on 3s lipos

Got a rock in my steering so I upgraded to RPM bulkhead

Decided to change out the stock gears and upgrade the diff fluid

Read that if I want to do some serious jumping I should upgrade to RPM A arms. Love how cheap to upgrade these things are

Painted the Slash Green and ended up getting 2 more for free. A Traxxas Rustler & Traxxas E-Revo.

38 mah? so just down to the end of the hallway? Lol

Im putting a sidewinder and a castle creations motor in my xv-01, supposed to be the best for the money. But if you dont really care hobbyking sells some good cheapos for like $15-25

edit: what batterys are you using? lipos? if you dont balance them they could be dangerous and would wreck your system.
