I miss my old buggy, had so much fun racing that thing.

Pretty useless if not on a track though, which is why I went to my E-maxx, which gets used even less....

With bald screw around wheels on

    Where I used to race

Racing that buggy was great fun. Never thought I could zone out while racing an RC car, but it definitely happens!

That way I have something to occupy my time while my car sits in parents garage.

Looking through this thread makes me really want to get another rc. Specifically I want to build an m3. There's plenty of 200mm m3 bodies floating around, so what's the suggested chassis, either for drift or touring?

I have the Tamiya TT01 drift kit chassis with the pretty destroyed e30 m3 shell. Having had 60mph+ monster trucks and buggies, I think I'm most happy with my stock drift car and mini rock crawler.

I need to get something a little more tame than my E-maxx.

It's sad when I have to go somewhere to take out my RC Car because I'm too afraid of causing serious damage to a neighbors vehicle or leg.

Id just grab a tt-01 if you dont care about high quality stuff, you can always add higher quality parts later but other then that tt-01 is a good starter drift car, you can get one that comes with an M3 body pre painted too.

                Brands for you to browse:

                Tamiya
                Team associated
                Traxxas
                HPI
                Sakura

The nice part about most of these brands is they have tons of hop ups, so If you bought a tt-01d and got bored of drifting, you can buy AT tires and 65mm dampers and make it into a rally car.

I hadn't touched the thing, but started sliding it around the shop at school this past week to release some tension from all the final projects I have due lol. It's the perfect area, it's pretty slick so it takes some getting used to, but it's perfect for this car.

But yeah, I know the feeling. I have a broken and sitting in parts Rustler VXL, 3.3 modded tmaxx and I think a stampeded and something else. No money, alway breaking, etc etc. The Rustler held up to a ton of abuse with no broken parts, but one of the ESC wires must have strained and pulled a chunk out of the board with it, so that donated some parts to the tt01.

I picked up a 3racing Sakura xi sport for about $110 a few weeks ago, and love the chassis. Bone stock, it drives amazingly. It is incredibly smooth and predictable, is fun to build, and had a broad range of hop up options.

It's world beyond the (very old, but fully built up) tamiya tl-01 chassis I have. The tamiya became a drift car, which is lots of fun as well.

Sounds pretty decent from the page on it. Never heard of basher before though.

In that style of truck is take a look at the traxxas rustler too, see them all the time, they are stoopid fast too.

The rustler is 2wd though. Not much fun in dirt. I've had a few rustlers and other 2wd trucks. I really like the truggy style.
