I bet it doesn't. I own one with the duramax, and full fuel tank, Tool box full of shit and low pro drag up tank under the tool box with 45-50 gallons in it (when they were in it) and all the other shit that happened to be in it at the time I had it on the scales was something like 6580 or 6680.

Thats weird. I work for a roofing company. Bosses new truck weighs 8700. 2012 extended cab 3500hd. And our 2002 gmc 2500hd with the 8.1 was on the scale at around 6800. Of course with side boxes and an aluminum ladder rack but that truck in the video seemed like it had a lot bigger wheels and tires along with a good amount of suspension shit which would add a decent amount of weight hence my assumption of around 7k. I could be wrong but oh well.

No real mechanical break downs at all, and we put trucks though hell. Will it last as long as some of the old diesels did NO WAY its starting to tire out some at 70k miles but I would not say the 5.7 hemi is a turd either.

Dreamin: that chevy is not 8000k pounds, its a 3/4ton CC/SB with a 6.0 in maybe and I stress MAYBE an 496cid 8.1L BB. It weights a tad under 5800lbs, the CC/LB DRW one tons dont even come close to 8k lbs they weigh in at about 6300lbs
I say turd only because I don't feel like saying it most likely wont make it past 100k miles without a bunch of work/money. I'm not saying that it will be a major disappointment of a motor, just that in my experience they don't last.

My friends 5.7 Durango made it 500 miles out of warranty @ 50,500 before it developed rod knock. At least the Chrysler dealership was nice enough to offer them $2500 for it on trade in towards another... Still have it an a replacement 5.7l if your interested in a purple Durango lol

The GMT 900's are are little heavier over all, but how much shit does he have in the back of that new 1 ton as Curb weight is like 7700lbs for the diesels 4wd DRW .

I scaled mine to see how much room I had for pin weight for the horse trailer, One of the reasons I dont have the tool box and drag up still in it, I am too close to payload as it is, with out extra shit in it with the wagon hooked up. Over weight tickets are not fun, so rather than pull shit out and put it back in all the time I just got rid of them and she uses the truck and wagon when I am not home so its easier this way. As it sits right now my truck is prolly about 6-6200lbs You could be right it might be closer to 7k but I still say 6500ish tops ;)
