that Durmax is at the least an LMM making 365hp and 660 Ft/lbs stock . Seeing the stacks one would assume there is at least a programer in it, so if you want to assume its on a mid range setting add about 30hp an 85 Ft/lbs.
I knew who was going to win that one too, just form the context in which it was posted. In any case sometihng like this where the match up is even remotely close like this, it comes down to who spins out 1st. and with a Suspension and tire combo like that with that much low end grunt you can over come traction easily. You cant get in a rush, and pour the power on hard, and spin out, thats why the VW came out on top.

That's pretty fucked up to drag the truck around like a ragdoll just because you can. I am willing to bet he needs new tires and a lot of work on that front end, it sounded like it got crushed on that curb.
EDIT: but i give it to the dodge, got some power to just drag that truck around like it was a potato.

I feel that it wasn't cool to drag someone around just because you can, but if your dumb enough to exchange words about the others truck your dumb enough to get what you have coming (this goes for both parties). I am personally a dodge guy and own a Cummins, and I hate diesel tug of wars because they prove absolutely nothing. As for the TDI vs Chevy raw torque is not the key, the VW has a different center of gravity and is hooked up lower than the Chevy. Just because each vehicle has such and such power and torque does not mean the one with the highest is going to win. Also what are the gear ratios of each vehicle? If the Chevy is stock on big tires well the ratio becomes less effective, don't they? Lifted bro truck will always hop and most pickups have almost no weight in the back end.
I don't see how sled pulling has anything to do with this?

The point was to illustrate in graphic form what you have just laid out. Idk i think the V10 TDI wins any day over the Chevy. Dodge would be different though.
Everyone throws out numbers but the v10 TDI is no joke.
Towing is also pointless in some cases, just because the trick has a better towing setup and package doesnt make it better. Give the toureg better rear suspension, a welded tow bar bolted to the frame, an oil and tranny cooler and then compare.1989 BMW 325is | 2019 Ford Ranger FX4willschnitz
