I thought they were illegal? My buddy used to rip huge holes the Chicago streets doing burnouts in his 73' big block Riviera back in H.S.

German law is that you MUST have snow (M&S) tires if the streets have any snow on em- so everyone has 2 sets of wheel here. studs aren't legal here.

How many burnouts with studded tires does it take to get to the center of a speed hump?

I think it varies by state, in WA they are legal form Nov. 1 - Mar. 31.

They should be made illegal as they tear up the roads and a modern set of snow tires will do just fine.

I took off a bit too fast with the studded tires this morning and dug a nice long trench into the asphalt...not fun/cool at all actually haha.

I went offroading in my e30 with my snows with about an inch or 2 on the ground in a field. Had to go through a ditch too. Didnt have any problem and they are only about half tread since I have been rallycrossing on them this whole past season.
