Any Kombucha drinkers here?

Was thinking of home brewing and wondered if anyone ever tried it, or if it is worth the hassle vs. buying from the store. Microbrews are starting to pop up all over.

But no, no home brewing. A friend of my GF had gave her a jar of the stuff and it's growing in a jar in our kitchen. Shit looks all funky the way it grows and stuff. I like drinking the stuff watered down with soda water, but aside from that, I'm ok with purchasing it from the store. At whole Foods you can get them. We prefer the GT's Orgaic Raw variety that has no added sugar and in a wide variety of flavours like gingerade, lavender and bilberry.

Honestly, ever since drinking the stuff, I've really been turned off of the taste of most light beers like MGD, Coors etc. I'd rather have Kombucha over it anyday!

Yeah, I think it's a vassel dilator because it gives me that warm, relaxed feeling that a bear does without the drunkenness. I like the taste, but I also hate sodas. Most that drink sodas on a regular basis don't care for the bucha. The GT ginger is my choice of drink.

Citrus, Gingerade, and Bilberry are my flavors. they are under 4grams sugar per serving

they had a recall because of alcohol content wasn't stated on label lol. looks and smells like shit and tastes bad especially the multi-green.

Hell yeah! I get growler fills of kombucha about once a week. My buddy brews it and sells it at a couple heath food stores, the co-op, and farmers markets. He's one of a very few that does oak barreled kombucha. It's really good.

There are numerous health benefit claims but none that have been verified scientifically. That said, for me it feels like a vassel dilator, the same relaxing feeling after you take a big shit youve been holding for awhile. You gotta drink the whole 32 oz bottle to get the sensation but it's quite nice. In addition it's good for the tummy and helps relieve/ prevent heart burn. But that's just for me. Others have different effects and some feel nothing or can't stand the taste. but I find that people who don't like it generally are not very healthy anyway.
