These dirt bikes/supermotos are not something you want to be commuting on the highway with. Honestly, I know it sounds fun now, but these bikes are not fun on the highway. -
Well since I'm new to this I'll trust your judgement...if you say looks good for the requirements I need then I'll try to get it tomorrow haLeave a comment:

Depends what exactly you need I guess. What are you lookin for? I get a lot of my stuff direct from parts unlimited since I work for a dealer.Leave a comment:

Who has the best prices online for parts? I've used the TT store and motostrano before but i know motostrano isn't the cheapest by any means.Leave a comment:

Got it on craigslist. Rode it when I got it home didn't need anything. bars were bent, as well as shift lever, I changed the oil and added smaller front blinkers. Ordered a full bug gun evo x exhaust. Deals like that are hard to find. I've wanted one forever and for that price well...now I have one :)
To clarify no I'm not really the motomaster aftermarket parts brand. I was only joking
I don't think I can hook you all up lol. I'm sorry. I work for Automatic Distributors the 7th biggest power rec vendor in the world. You can visit us here www.autodist.com or jrgraham.com
The bike is under powered stock. However If you retard the cam timing 10* (for free) you go from 18hp to 25 immediately. With a TM 36 carb, full exhaust, cam mod, properly tuned I plan to be as or more powerful than most 250's.Last edited by motomaster99; 02-27-2013, 07:24 PM.Leave a comment:

Still finding only between high 2k's to 4k's in my area. I've found a couple for under 2k out here in phoenix, once my money comes in I'm bouncing on them.Leave a comment:

DRZ400sm, it's not the best at anything except for taking a beating and being able to sell it for what ya paid for it two years from now when you think you might want something a little more cutting edge ( and in reality, you won't be that much faster than a guy on a well ridden DRZ).
Thanks for the input guys. After reading this thread, I had a feeling that I'd get the DRZ recommended. I've seen people talking about how they are a $2000-$2500 bike... but I don't see any for sale anywhere at that price. Most of them are $4k + with a few around $3500.
Like I said, I've bought a boat so the bike needs to be really budget minded. I don't mind at all buying one that isn't perfect that I can slowly work on and fix myself. I'd almost prefer that actually as then I can get mechanically familiar with the bike right away (I'd prefer not to have/get to learn to rebuild the engine or anything major right off the bat).
I'd really prefer to be down around the price of this bike:
I see that it is a rebuilt title and 250CC. So at or around $2000 and not needing a ton of work/parts, am I going to end up with a 250CC bike?
And where are you guys looking for bikes for sale? I've basically been looking on Craigslist in different cities. Is there a better resource that you guys use?Leave a comment:
