I seriously thought of doing this to my XR400 but didn't want to keep switching back from street to dirt. How much of a pain is it to switch out?

Finally knocked out the oil change on the LC4 engine. What a bitch that was, lol. Took me almost 3 hours :( It was a nice night yesterday so I went out to take some pics.

I was just running the KTM stock Brembo break. I think I might sell the brake kit, I don't feel I need it that much for just cruising around the streets. I don't race.

Welp, I just picked up some wheels and a Beringer brake caliper and disk.

Now I'm pushing 30, have a daughter whom I plan on living to see married at least. I've had my fun pushing the limits, and now I don't want to leave my family because I make a stupid mistake.

Going more for style and comfort on my next bike.

    Justified. Carry on.

I think it's getting near that time though. Riding is something that is in your blood. You can delay it, but sooner or later you get back on.

I dunno though, when I get another bike it just might be a Honda shadow Phantom edition.
When the time changes, I notice that drivers get more insane and I always put my bike away for a month or so. Then when people have seemed to settle down I will bring it back out.

I commute and live with the reality that I could get killed every day I am out there. Been off bikes 4 different times and all of them, thankfully, have been unassisted (meaning, my own fault and didn't get hit). But it is scary business just riding out alone without any other cars around. We certainly are not immortal.

I am contemplating getting a motard and selling my V-Strom 1000. Seems it would be an even trade on the grin factor. But I would gain way more on fuel economy. But I am a big SOB and I spent a decent amount of effort getting the V-Strom exactly the way I want it. It'd be a shame to get rid of it.

    AhhhH!
