Ya i feel like this guy was a good guy but he just snapped.
He had every right to snap, but the actions he took were too far.
I wouldn't go around killlin' cops. I'd just get a lot of attention by doing something else crazy....just not murder.

Anybody following this? Who else thinks he isn't a crazy lunatic, but got fed up and blew his gasket.... sucks that he is going after family members though, that's uncalled for.
    My thoughts exactly, Jean!

I just found about this tonight, as it was on the front page of the Friday New York Times. All I read was that article, and I was wondering the same thing. I believe he probably got shafted by LAPD. Not a good enough excuse for killing an innocent woman and two police officers. Edit: Monica Quan, Keith Lawrence an an un-named police officer from Riverside.

Now after reading/skimming his manifesto and this thread, I wonder if the two slain officers were on his list or were random targets just because they had badges. If the LAPD said he was a poor report writer, he surely has improved. He writes clearly and expressively, although he did use the word "confounds" where I think he meant "confines".

I'm afraid the LAPD is not blameless in this tragedy. Hopefully, no one else will be killed.

    Here is the latimes timeline:
On Feb. 3, former LAPD Officer Christopher Dorner began a nine-day rampage of revenge against law enforcement officials whom he blamed for his 2009 firing from the force, police say. He is believed to have killed the daughter of a retired LAPD official and her fiance, and then a police officer and a sheriff’s deputy, before apparently taking his own life during a standoff with police at a cabin near Big Bear on Feb. 12.

My sympathy is for the victims and their families and friends.

It just sounds to me like the LAPD want this guy dead yesterday, it is in their worst interest if they bring him in alive.

Nobody should ever condone killing another person to further their agenda...

    However...

Mr. Dorner has been fighting corruption since 2007. Had he not gone on his murder spree, would the people know anything about whats happening with the LAPD?

    Also read the whole thing.
It is hard to say he is lying when you know things like that can happen to good people.
In this case I think he felt he didn't have a choice but to retaliate how he knows best.

THEN you have the LAPD shooting at anything that moves.
A black honda and a blue toyota???
How do you mistake 2 ladies delivering newspaper with a big black dude??
Does not help their case at all imo...

I just read some of the manifesto and wow, I can't say I don't believe him. The killings may be wrong, but at the same time, something needs to be done about the corruption!

    wow.
The manifesto is long, but it's the first couple of pages that are so interesting. This guy sounds very sincere and has apparently a lifelong history of honor and integrity.

LAPD made news organizations remove all the names from the manifesto, the link at the top is one of only a limited remaining unedited copies available. read it . .
