I used to work with a guy who has Scoliosis. He had a giant hump on his back and it forced him to be hunched over. He was probably about 5' or so. I didn't notice it for at least a month. Needless to say, I was freaked the fuck out when I noticed it.

Apparently, he had surgery to correct it when he was a kid and it made him stand up straight and was supposedly almost 6'. Well, I guess just a couple weeks after the surgery, he was out riding his bike (against doctor's orders) and crashed, which ripped all the staples out of his back.
