The comfort softs were the stock tires it came on, I like having a challenge than putting racing slicks on a NA miata.

true stock tires makes it simpler. but there are several tire choices between those and racing slicks..

that doesn't mean it wouldn't still be a competition.

Everything is a competition.. but a car that requires no throttle control and is just picking a line and gunning it is no where near as fun

Suit yourself. I prefer a momentum car over some high power car that has to be parked in order to make a corner.

I am hoping for a momentum car also. The 135 was a pretty fun car. I wish I had spent more than 2 laps on this challenge.

Patience guys, I work until 5. I'm now 95% sure what the challenge will be, but let me check it out first, then I'll post. It will be up this evening.

I think dealership cars are a must, as some people might not have the luck to get the right used car.

picking a line and gunning it is a tad bit of an oversimplification. I see your point but I guess personally I have more fun in a faster car with more grip vs. a slower car (or the same car) with more challenging tires. can't help but think of F1 drivers in top gear's reasonably priced car - they are used to insane amounts of grip and power, still requiring throttle control but much faster thinking, and when placed in a slow and skinny-tire car that does require careful moves (as seen by the 99% of others who aren't able to match) they are practically snoozing. sorry to continue the debate but I enjoy the discussion :)

I like both styles. It was nice to jump in a completely stock vehicle and see how well I could do. When my friends and I play we usually blast around in some of our faster cars that we have tuned. Its nice to make the best of a stock dealership car and get back to the basics.
