I do not agree with the abuse of power positions however... isnt it ironic that these guys (the criminals) can play by their rules when ever they want, but when they are done they can't deal with the consequences. I am sure the store owner did not go to work that day hoping they get held up at gunpoint (whether or not the gun is fake doesn't matter), but it happened and they lived with it.

You have to take the criminal out of the equation. He's an idiot. COPS CANNOT BEHAVE THIS WAY. The problem is, this happens to a lot of innocent people. Trust me it happens daily in the inner city of Chicago. There needs to be a zero tolerance. If your caught beating a criminal, your fired, no unemployment, pension nothing. Then this wouldn't happen. Just do your job, arrest the guy, take him to jail.
Again fuck the criminal, he's a criminal and there will always be criminals. You can't go around beating everyone you arrest.

It's not the job of police to carry out the punishment. The judge makes that decision in a court of law. It's only their job to apprehend him, only using force when absolutely necessary.
How would you like it if you got pulled over for speeding and the cop decided to punish you for it on the spot by beating the shit out of you?

The cop here should be fired immediately and charged with assault and any other law he violated. Police should not be above the law; in fact they should have even greater repercussions than non-police when violating the law since it's their job to enforce the law.
