Slide under the car and it is all in view. I did a complete shifter overhaul with a hooked prong tool and a 13mm on a swivel and extension. first remove the bitch clip with the prong tool, then remove the rear brace with the 13 millimeter and swivel.

Nah you don't have to disconnect the driveshaft. If your shifter is sloppy, might as well just refresh everything. Aside from the bitch clip, it's not too hard.

is there fluid in the tranny?? Ill admit once I did an M52 swap and the car sat so long i forgot the diff was empty. Took it out up to about 80 before the diff locked. It was a handful keeping it straight

ha, my heart sank at that moment of my first s50 swap. Had a spun bearing which was repaired, but didn't know the thrust bearing was bad. Felt much better putting in the next motor, as I sourced it from a complete m3 I bought from bf.c

this is another thing, fluid levels havent been checked so i need to handle that, drain old shitty fluids and replace them.

I made a pass by but there was no red E30 where there should have been. I had to see for myself. Give me a call if you want a 2nd opinion on the iffy parts. I have a wrench that should open the fill plug on the transmission (assuming its the same as the M3) the diff is easy to check.

Let me know, I'm bored out of my mind.
