^^Doesn't matter 90% of the people who've seen those probably want them too. Demand for those are probably stupid high as well as the price...just the same as alpinas, borbets, BBS', etc. etc.Originally posted by Wh33lhopThis is r3v. Check your vaginal sand at the door.Comment

My HS art teacher showed me this and wants to buy it.
Thats one hell of an awesome way to spend 16kComment

You could compare them to the Hartge 3-piece, but those only come in 17"
I like the locking cap on these, not sure which ones I like better, but I'm leaning towards the Wagner cause they come in 16x9
Regardless, this car is pretty sweet; old factory turbo BMWs are awesomeComment

well, theres a reason for that.
bought from craigslist they usually need a lot of love to be in half the shape of most e30's that havent been dicked with by some morons are in.
not only that but even in factory shape there quite gutless, but are very fun to corner.
with that being said i love the piss out of mine, i want to get rid of it but i can't bring myself to trade it or sell it. but its definitely the least luxurious/quick BMW built from 70'-current. i refer to it as the least amount of BMW ever created by BMW (apart from the timeless but gutless m10, front grill/headlights, bumpers, lack of cupholders, and the fact that it is probably the first BMW ever to be offered commercially with a 5-speed)
and as for the callaway/BAE "carb legal" turbo systems, i only wish i could stumble upon something like that on craigslist! an e21 with boost would be a whole different beast, i can't even begin to imagine.

What a proper car. That is actually one type of E21 that I would buy if I had $16k to piss away.1989 325i - 2.7i, Holset H1C, 60lb injectors, whodwho MS-PNP.

It's obvious why people pass over E21's in favour of either a 2002 or an E30, but it's still a shame because they look so good!well, theres a reason for that.

M10 was not gutless until the Fed put all the restrictive Emission controls on to cars. In order to deal with that BMW decreased the size of the M10 from a proper 2.0L back down to a 1.8L and put a more restrictive crappy head on it.
Then only at the end did the 1st gen Three get a 5 speed and that was optional still as part of the sports package. Had we gotten the great little 323i in unmolested shape the 1st gen Three might have taken off with aftermarket support more. There was plenty of stuff out there for them but remember you had to read and scour the back of magazines and request for stuff via MAIL ORDER. Waiting 5-7 business days was a killer before Fed Ex as it was just UPS out there and they had not gotten so big at the time.
Scary that this car is rolling around on Yokohama AVS intermediates which were hot tires in oh 1995. Things are twenty years old.
First thing I would do is yank those good forsaken diving boards off and put some proper E21 bumpers on.Comment

where does it say the turbo is carb legal? i'm wondering how that would work, i am pretty sure this hardware was all finished and installed way before they started handing out EO#s for aftermarket parts. (whether or not it's the original callaway parts as kronus points out.)past:
