So, imagine this...
We have a subforum within the "E30 Classified Forums" devoted entirely to raffling off stuff such as wheels, cars, etc.
Of course we'd have to figure out how to hold people liable and accountable, but wouldn't that be rad?
For those unfamiliar with the raffle theory it goes like this:
The seller offers an item for sale and determines what his value on the object is, say $200.
He determines that raffle tickets will be $10 or so.
He figures that he needs to sell at least 20 tickets ($200) to be satisfied enough to sell the object. He makes this transparent to all bidders that if the 20 ticket "reserve" isn't met, there will be no raffle.
So, if he doesn't sell 20 or more tickets the raffle is void and everyone gets their money back that contributed.
If it goes over 20 tickets then the seller is happy and gets more than he thought he would.
Of course we could have raffles with and without "reserves" if the seller wanted.
So yea...thoughts?
