"broke" (never bothered to get it looked at) a middle toe skateboarding last summer, and still get pain after most activities..

Never broke a toe, but I did fracture a couple of bones in my scrum foot. I played half a season with the fractures because there was nothing that could really be done about them.

I walked around with pain from my foot for a couple of months after the season ended and I started taking it easy. You'll be OK man... good opportunity to teach yourself the whole mind/matter thing.

Your toe will hurt forever. I suggest cutting it off with a spoon and giving it to the special person in your life as a gift. Perhaps in the form of a necklace, or mounted on a ring.

For real, my broken toe bothered me for several years if I did a bunch of walking, or hiking, working...it sucks how much a small thing like a toe can Cause.
