                    At the drive-in is better. Omar once passed out infront of my friends refridgerator denying him of a sandwich for over 8 hours.

                        Rush did suck, but their drummer did kick some serious ass. One of the best drummers ever.

                        I dont think they really sound all that alike either.

                                Havent heard much of them really for the last couple years. My roomate in HS listened to them all the time and it grew old.

                                    Mars Volta> everyone else. at the drive in was great but you cant compare the 2, different music types. but you can deffinately tell who's the talent in ATDI because sparta sucks ass.

                                                I thought I would look into this "Sparta" band some of you were speaking of so I previewed some of their songs on Itunes and downloaded their album "Porcelain". It is amazing. There is not a single bad song on it. Now I am going to pay-it-forward and recommend "Thursday" for anyone who is interested in new listening. Amazing band as well.

                                                    I also must agree that The Mars Volta is amazing, Rise Against is great, Coheed is great, I don't listen to Thursday so I can't comment. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, anybody else? Shake the Sheets is so good.

                                                        Rush was definitly good, no question there.

                                                        I listened to Frances the Mute, and I'm still scratching my head. I think they have a lot of potential, but the stuff I heard didn't hit the spot, and they might be a little over-hyped.

                                                        Rise Against is good stuff as well, and if i have to make one recommendation for really good music, it's gotta be Interpol (I am hooked on their shit right now).




                                                        I'm also addicted to The Postal Service, but that's because they sound so much like Death Cab.
