No doubt they are one of the most talented bands around right now. Awesome, super-original stuff.

Sick. I actually heard them for the first time in the new snowbaord flick Paradox (Mark Landvik's sick session at the end of the movie) and my buddy said hed hook me up with their album. Seriously some of the most original music Ive heard from our generation.

I haven't heard much Mars Volta but what I have heard sounds good. Lately I have been into Rise Against. Amazing band. Listen to Tip the Scales. Words can't even explain how good that song is.

TMV is amazing. Not really my type of music but they are talented. I still thing At the Drive In was better though.

Is that one of their (TMV) older albums or another band?

At The Drive In was TMV's lead singer's former band. They split up and formed TMV and Sparta.

The singer and the guitarist from At the Drive-In are in The Mars Volta, Omar and Cedric.

These are the kinds of bands that are gonna define this decade, not any of that MTV bullshit.

Pretty sure both of those bands are played on MTV. I know Mars Volta is at least, unsure with Sparta.

Ok you just proved me wrong. What I am basically saying is that these bands make quality music and they are the ones that will be remembered in the future, not those high-profile, dime a dozen bands like they show on TRL.

MTV used to play a bunch of ATDI vids about 5/6 years ago. I've seen all of the MV videos on the various MTV channels as well.

That being said, between bands like them and Coheed & Cambria, how do you guys listen to that crap? Listen to it, it's Rush guys. Rush was never cool.
