I know what needs to be done, no pay, no friend. It sucks but I was raised with a sense of responsibility and right vs. wrong. It's just sad to see that a great friend can have no moral compass and doesn't understand the value of a friendship versus a dollar amount on an item. People really show their true colors whenever money is involved. Fuck, one less bike, one less friend.

Sounds like you need Judge Judy to help. Seriously though, he's not a friend if he can't man up and keep his word. 2, I almost believe that he sold your bike to pay for the p.o.s making that purchase almost free. the $100 he offered was probably the left over from your bike's sale. 3,Guy is a big enough asshat to buy another bike while he owes you. Sue his ass or beat him up

Definitely not a friend.
I had a similar situation. Sold my friend my laptop on a payment plan at $600. He made some very sporadic payments and it took about three years before I got all the money for it, but I respect him for at least manning up and paying it off. We're not close as we were as kids, but we drifted apart for different reasons than the money.
Hold him to it. A good friend will pay up, although he sounds like a total asshat.
Good luckDifferent strokes for different folks.

Three words: small claims court.
My ex-roommate jerked my around with $350 worth of rent for months, telling me he was going to pay, moving to lame-ass excuses, then telling me he couldn't afford it. At that point I got fed up and filed a claim. Funny how he could suddenly afford it the day before I was going to win default judgement. Needless to say we're no longer friends.

Had a friend do that to a surfboard that I shaped for myself. It blew off his car and got ran over on the freeway. He agreed to take it to the repair shop and pay fix it no problem. He never did. Then takes my broken board to his shaper and has it copied and has a new board made FOR Himself! Pays for his new board and never repairs mine.
Sounds to me like you need to leave his car on jack stands. Or like others have said take him to small claims court. If he has lost your trust and respect why not? He has no right to get butthurt about it.
Shit is fucked up no doubt, he is not a cool guy. You should have taken the bike back months ago when he was not paying you.

Your friend sounds like an imbecile. With that being said maybe he really doesn't understand that he is wrong. Sometimes people just don't understand and they need it to be explained to them. If you do what you can do and can't do no more than maybe you're better off and lesson learned. He will get his.
