Btw. I have no idea why they don't provide SMS authentication.
One damn SMS for every withdrawl or password change and it would basically be impossible to manipulate an account.

After the issues I had, I'm pretty well done with PayPal, and want to switch to something else, I came to the conclusion that they care more about the buyers than sellers.

Finally settled. It took another hour and a half of waiting and being transferred. Seems to me that they have total chaos in who you need to be talking to. I have no idea why I always got connected to the people with foreign accents, though I was calling the US number. I thought the international numbers were for phone costs and language reasons.
Anyways, the people with various accents knew nothing but were polite, and once I got connected to an american guy all I had to do was wait a minute for an email directly from him, then he told me an authorization number and I could finally reset my account.
Now it's still limited in that I can't do anything except recieve money, which should be resolved once someone has a look at the ID I uploaded.
I was a little scared because Monday I got emails that the fake transactions were completed. Luckily the first guy really did cancel them and the emails were false alarm so I have my full ballance.
Hope I never have to go through this again.

I'm actually burnt on PP and plan to switch to something else. I hear good things about Google Wallet/Google Checkout... Seems like a few bigger vendors here use it instead of PP.

Glad everything got settled ok, that's a weird situation. Paypal has been a pain when trying to get anything done.

I tried using google Wallet while buying stuff just this week for the first time. Super simple to use, I'm actually surprised more people don't use it now that I tried it.

You might run a virus scan. Years ago, my account was broken into. I suspect it was a virus doing the key logging thing(I did a scan, found some stuff - removed it).

Paypal was great - didn't question me, knew what was up, didn't make me jump through hoops. They had the funds back into my account in about an hour. Some people hate paypal (I know blunt does) but they treated me right.
