This car was sold, the widebody was a super clean 318is that got an s52 then a turbo then the widebody.

In the MkII Jetta? Yeah, he did that going back home over the mountains from a weekend at my house. Hit a patch of red cinders (used here instead of salt for winter traction), drove his car straight through a gaurdrail and sailed like 200' through the air, busted through a giant Ponderosa, and was barely hurt at all. The Jetta wasn't even really that banged up. He was actually kind of fucked up for a while, had a bad case of the whole "I should have died in that accident" mentality going on.

^That's an insane flight. I was lucky enough, that when I had my dumb youthful indiscretion automobile accident, I only drifted my 1979 Type 2 at about 30mph, through a stand of tamarisk trees off a dirt road into an Audi 5000 in early 1997.

Ah.. The good 'ol days. I used to lurk here around that time. Things have changed quite a bit around here. Back then if you had either a bronzit vehicle, sportsmax wheels, or a volvo lip you were pretty much doo-doo. lol, there's still a part on this board where that's still the case but it's no where near the level it once was.

I remember this vehicle too. I bought an M-tech (heckspoiler) around this time intending to put it on my e30 because I loved the look on this ride. lol, it's still just sitting around collecting dust.
