Yes, scary as though it may sound, at 7:44 PM tonight, I became a father. My daughter, Lillian (Lily) Heather Anderson was born tonight, weighing in an even 9 pounds! I'm just at home getting a few things tonight, so I'm just posting this really quick, I'll have pics for you guys tomorrow.
She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I was totally cool for the whole thing, but as soon as her head came out, and the doctor pulled the rest of her out, I completely lost it and broke down crying. It was the most wonderful moment of my life, seeing the child that I and my wife created, healthy and thrust forth into the world, I just couldn't hold it together anymore. I was completely overcome. I wish that everyone could share the way I felt when I saw her, and I hope that someday all of you will.
I'll have pics up tomorrow, of both my soldier of a wife (she did so great), and my beautiful new daughter. Ugh, daughter. Guess it's time to start picking out a shotgun for the boyfriends!
