Hope you are getting up with her at night and letting mom sleep a little.

Whatever you do, do NOT:

1. Talk about having another one soon, or

2. Say anything at all about whether it was painful for your wife, or

3. Underestimate how emotional your wife might be for a while. No matter what you do, it will be wrong, don;t try to apologize or sugarcoat. It won;t help.


Treasure these moments and get as much video as you can.

1. Not a chance. We're waiting a good long while before the next one.
2. She's actually been the one telling everyone that it wasn't as bad as she thought, and every time the nurses asked her if she was in any pain, she hasn't been hardly at all. She did really well!
3. She's not overly emotional, wasn't during the whole pregnancy, either. Never got all wierd, never yelled at me or anything during the birth, nothing. She's totally down to earth the whole time.

Just to let everyone know, Mom and Lily are doing just fine. You wouldn't even know my wife just had a baby. Lily is sleeping all the time, and hardly cries, it's very nice. I can't wait for all you PNW guys to meet her at the picnic this year. She's going to have a lot of new friends!

It totally looks like she's in the hollowed-out shell of a teddy bear. And the look on her face is so funny, we had just put her in there, and she was sleeping, so I know she was thinking "will you leave me the hell alone?"

It's actually kind of like a pimple, the nurses said that they're very common in babies that are overdue (she was 8 days overdue). It should go away in a few days. She has this little bunch of tiny white spots on her nose too, same kind of thing.
