I'm 19... they asked questions about my educational background, what led me to the car sales profession, my other skills related to the job, some other stuff. Basically just your normal job interview.

I had to do this weird "profile" thing later on though, which consisted of you reading a story and answering questions as to what you pictured in your head. Supposedly it gauges how impressionable you are or something.

I've been in sales since I got out of college. Started selling recruiting and HR services to Fortune 100 companies in Investment Banking and Hedge Funds. Last 2+ I've been selling pharmaceuticals, yes the legal kind. Every sales interview wants to hear "I'm not afraid to ask for the business". You can be the smoothest MF on the planet, if you can't close go home. Watch Glenn Gary Glenross.

No matter how uncomfortable it may be, they're looking for someone who will unabashedly ask "So let's get the paperwork going, can I get your commitment to buy"

Learn to close and you'll make money in sales. Big commisions only happen when you have the balls to ask for the business and never ask a question that gives the buyer an opportunity to say no. Is the sky blue.. yes, do you love your wife...yes, is beer and pizza the perfect combo....yes, will you buy this neon....yes.
