I regularly call people kiddo. It has offended many people, all of those who did were younger than me. I just think people need to lighten up. It's not like I'm calling them a fuckwit or piss for brains.
However, when working, I would never do that. Always maintain professionalism unless you have a long rapport with the person. -
I like to use my size as a joke, and call lots of people big guy. On the odd chance I meet someone larger than me, I call them "Tiny".
