You leave and go to California you'll be eating what my wife and I call 10,000 cowburger. I realized I had not ever truly had real foodstuffs til I moved to Idaho.

The cheese I eat, it comes directly from a small batch processor, and is made from cows I can go pet. The beef comes from the local butcher, and comes from an Angus ranch 2.3 miles from my phone. My nextdoor neighbor has a 4 acre garden and they are one of the largest purveyors of organic non-GMO produce at the local farmers market, I go pick what I want, and help around the place in trade.

All these options are really not available to you in SoCal, don't go.

Lol that is true. I guess denver or colorado spring wouldn't be a bad place. the mountains are awesome and I love snow boarding. Plus its 8 hours from home.The only thing that sucks is I HATE WINTER

^Colorado winters might not be as harsh as you think. I went skiing in CO ~10 years ago in March, it was warmer on the mountain than it was here in NJ.

Shhhh...you're letting out Denver's dirty secret. When I moved there from Philly all my friends back home would tell me they'd love Denver but couldn't handle the winters. I would simply agree and tell them not to come. MUCH easier winters than the east coast.

I prefer grass-fed, organic, etc..

The BEST I mean BEST burgers in California/West Coast are made using Nieman ranch beef.

THE best.

That being said, one of my fave burgers in California is @ Barney's. They're around the SF Bay area and LA areas.
