Need new DVD player looking into recorders/tivos with dvd recorders etc

There are a dearth of devices out there. What would the best be. I like the idea of the DVD/VHS dual units but also like the Humax Tivo/DVD recorder premise. What do you guys think is the best course to take.

I have three tivos, two are first gen so they output to DVD burners in native mpeg format so Tivo is not a must but would be handy to be able to record & burn from one device.

    Gracias!

As much computer power as you have, I am suprised you aren't doing a media PC, with TiVo and a burner.

The tech is finally getting mature.

Now you have piqued my interest. I want to be able to take programs off of my Directv Tivo or our other Directv DVR and put them on DVD.

Where do I go to figure out how to do this?

Luke I have a media computer that is not conected to the satelite as I found (1) having the computer in the bedroom made it impossible to sleep (my wife complained at first about the miniscule noise the tivo makes)

          (2) the three programs i have tried recorded 70-80% of the shows I programmed (as opposed to 99.999999999 for tivo and (3) editing the commercials and making episodic DVDs using three or four programs was not only no fun but very time consuming.

I like the idea of being able to do it all in one unit through the TV.
