I'm sorry about your pupper.
Maggie turned 10 this year, and we've had her for the last 8. She's getting awfully grey around the chin and belly, and limps on the leg she broke back when she was 4.
On the upside, she's getting much more calm as she ages, so I can bring her to the shop and work around her now.

Had to send the fuzzy one on to the next life today...... He was 14 though and has been in a lot of pain in the hips and spine nearly a year now and has had a hard time getting around the house even with very little improvement with meds and diet. He had more back county miles hiking with us than most people will see in a life time, and far better at smelling unseen bears than we were... You will be dearly missed my friend, until we meet again....Last edited by mrsleeve; 08-24-2019, 08:19 PM.Leave a comment:

This is our canary, Tiny ('Petit' in French... he's from Quebec). He's 20 years old and still going strong, with a life expectancy of 10 - 15 years - I think he has reverse mileage fraud.
He even outlived his mate and kids! He's in his element when he's rocking out to his favourite music. My brother summarized him perfectly: "He loves Metallica; hates coal mines." :)

He's a great supervisor when I'm working on car stuff. ;)

He sings with me when I play guitar. :)

His singing volume is equal to factory machinery at 3 feet.

He always perches on his food.

Stretching out his feathers in the sun.

Bed time.
We also have tens of thousands of other "pets":

One of our hives... the fence was to protect against skunk attacks.

A closeup of one of the girls.Leave a comment:
