    of my 3 E30's I've owned
    my 1st e30 (see: 2006 had 3 piece BBS's on them, and Ronal LS's)
    my 2nd where euroweaves
my 3rd (ESM's now GONE), and BACK to using the Ronal LS's.

I swear I see more eurotrash'd out hellatightstancedoutbumpstopsliced cars out there with some BBS logo SOMEWHERE to earn up that sick streetcred the 'scene' pays out in v-cards to kids living @ moms posting comments on multi-forum from their top bunk.

like i said, this gringo OP ain't mad...he observant.

          On topic, Agreed.

In my mind they've become like the old 'hammers'/five star rims we used to roll in the late 80s/90s and were on every 5.0 you would see or hatchback.

As to the reference of these wheels being light that is incorrect. I weighed my E39 Style 5's before I sold them and with inflated tires the weight was ~34/5lbs.

I like BBS RS when used properly on a clean car but hate seeing them on clapped out $300 cars where the owners think they are balling because they have $3000 on their $300 pile of shit. No you are not balling, you just are a fucking idiot.

I think BBS has produced many stunning designs over the years.
RZ's as you know where OEM on the E30, I have them in 14's, and I love the way they look.
I still think that the 15" euro weaves are one of the best choices for the E30, if not the best.

keep your BBS wheels... I despise having to clean any kind of mesh wheel and decided that I am done with BBS and BBS type wheels. I have SSR wheels that are 16" and 11# each and also very easy to keep clean. I am a happy camper

No worries little buddy, rust free e30 with a pile of goodies and a well sorted b35 with a sorted proper turbo setup in a few months. I take no offence one bit. I am right there with you when kids buy expensive wheels and do some JOM coilovers while ignoring the remaining car. As I have just bad paint from kids keying me I see nothing wrong with my car.

I think you might need to read my build thread if you want to place my car with the type to are talking about.

In reference to your sig F34R, simply painting your hood and valence would take your car from one that I can barely appreciate the look of to one of the nicest on the forum.

Why are you guys so worried about being "played out"? Are you guys really "killing the game" on purple plastidip salad shooters? Because if you are, I want to play a different game.

I am fully aware of the mismatched body parts. Simple fact is: paint matching does not make you go any faster ;)

My Uncle owns a body shop and I am currently learning to do bodywork and paint. I have the paint already, just learning as much as I can before I try my hand at it. I got the bodywork down but I have yet to do more than prime. I could let my Uncle do it for me but I want to see how I do.

Only lighter than the cheapest of the cheap replica wheels, and nowadays that isn't even true anymore.

You can buy 15x8s, that weigh 12lbs, for $99 that are strong enough to stand up to track work.

I love RS's, just don't want anyone thinking they are any kind of real "performance" wheel. Even BBS LM-R's are pretty heavy compared to their contemporaries and much more expensive as well.
