thoughts on Mr. Burroughs newest creation?

So we all know mike Burroughs (our very own Spastic Dwarf) for his outlandish e28 nicknamed Rusty Slammington.

well, hes back with more creative designs.

today at bimmerfest 2013 he debuted his recent project, a 1928 Ford model A, but with a twist!
    powered by a bmw V8, the m60!

    heres some pics:

so, what do you guys think?

personally i think its pretty freaking cool, a very cleaver/good idea. i was wondering which direction this project would take but i never expected this.

    i like it a lot.

I think he did a decent job of it, but I don't think the M60 is any better than a chevy/ford small block. I see it as being different for the sake of being different... which isn't always good. The motor looks a little silly sticking so far up out of the engine bay.

I like the wheel choice though, kind of a nod to the wire spoke wheels from that era.

Engine looks totally out of place... Needs a flathead, nailhead or something else. The wheels are a little cool though.

I like it. I don't think it's ironic or special because it has a BMW motor.

i agree the engine sits a little too far out of the bonnet, but i love the fact that its a bmw powerplant.

I totally agree. Maybe it would look better if it sat lower in the chassis, but again its just not typical. You might say I am mainstream, but it is too modern, not domestic in a domestic, etc. Just doesn't look like it belongs, and when something doesnt belong and it looks as it does, that when you have nailed it.

Oh and... you'd think he might CLEAN the motor a little bit... it doesn't have a nice patina, it's just fuckin dirty.

I think it is pretty cool. Definitely needs some polishing to make it more appealing though. Is that a custom barrel on rs'?

                    Not my style at all.

Does not have good lines, doesn't flow, front tires too tall, etc.

And i seriously love hot rod trucks.

Would have been cooler if he used a European car of that same era, and then chopped it up to make it look more like this. Or maybe used the Ford and added parts from other European cars to make it look more Euro.
For me its weird to have something that is so very American in every way, and then have a huge BMW engine sticking out of it. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

The e28 and E9 were nicely done, this one is trying too hard.

Shave the "BMW" and stripes off the valve cover, add velocity stacks and it would be awesome!
