The concept is cool, but the execution is pretty poor. The engine sticking way up like that completely kills the look of it. I feel like all he did was slap it in a body/frame and call it good, with no interest in how it actually looked.

A lot of people forget that Rusty was never intended to become what it did. Mike is actually a Bmw purist at heart(for instance, he doesn't like my engine swap), and has built some of the most beautiful cars.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of the guy myself, but you do have to give credit where credit is due.

I really like it. I'm excited to see what direction this may take off in. Can you imagine all the parts/mods/tunes/niftybits that would come out for adapting BMW engines if the Hot Rod world picked up on them like they have done with LSx stuff.

I know nothing about hotrods or anything related but that car was just off the heezy. He made one hell of an entrance too.

One other cool thing he did was slapping the round '02 taillights on the back. Honestly didn't look bad at all. Props to him for the whole build.

I don't care for things like model A hot rods because they don't suit the type of driving I like to do. That being said I kinda like looking at the ones I see on Speedhunters that don't all look the same (to me). I think this looks pretty cool and incorporates what MB likes and opens up his brand to other types of enthusiasts.

Basically, I think it's pretty cool.

On a positive note, i'm glad Mike got to learn to weld and build his own hot rod. There is potential in the truck.
