When you're applying for jobs in your field you need to have a previous boss (from whatever job) that will say when asked; "Great guy, hard working, his shift loved him and we're sorry to lose him, but we wish him well - you're getting a great employee."

Don't burn any bridges, but get out and get yourself a good recommendation.

In about a decade, somebody on a hiring board will ask, "Tell us about how you dealt with a difficult situation with a boss." You'll be ready!

And never criticize anybody but your two year old in public, and be discrete with them, too.
