    This.

If you've been together for a considerable amount of time, (more than a year or two) I can see talking about and discussing it, as long as there haven't been hiccups.. ie cheating, stealing, lying, what have you. Around my area, there are 18-23 year olds all getting knocked up after being together less than a year, and then marrying. All I can do is shake my head and laugh. It's pretty ridiculous. There isn't one who isn't collecting welfare or WIC or govt benefits for these kids they weren't ready for either.

1 of my girlfriends has been coming over everyday and altough it's cool I kinda see how it can get annoying now. I'm just use to being by myself and I like doing things alone, this shit is cutting into my fun time. I read how some of you don't like doing things by yourself but I do, it just depends on what as I hope that's what you all are saying too. Like eating out is nice with others, shopping waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles going with someone.

This is me in a nutshell^

I did the whole dating and seeing someone for a long time(5 years...). It is not for me, I do not desire to be married anytime soon or have a steady relationship.I love being alone and never having to deal with how their day went or what is wrong and why are you sad...save it lol. I take you out, enjoy a nice dinner or take in a movie etc. Then you go back to your life and I continue mine. I will settle down later, or if I find someone that 'completes me'.

More like who can cook, is it me or is the REAL question here...
Why can women not COOK anymore, I know more men that can cook than women. The last handful of women I was with could not even get past boxed garbage. At the very least know how to lightly toast bread and make a sandwich and some cold salad for a picnic or something.

This is a good point, I hate when girls do that. I mean the point if going out with someone is to have a good time, enjoy the place where you choose to have dinner....actually get to know each other. I think it is fucked up to be talking to her and for her to be txting with her friends about stupid shit, or checking in on fb, tweeting, or the stupid Instagram picture of their dinner plate. That kind of behavior to me it just shows how insecure girls really are, or just seek approval of everybody else. Idk, girls are weird, but at the end I just give them a rough fucking. Ha!

If you don't know who you are, nor what you want, don't mess up somebody else's life by getting into a relationship with someone who equally doesn't know who they are and what they want either, unless you're still experimenting.

If you're going into a relationship only to "take" and don't want to "give," its not going to work out. Selfishness has no place in a relationship, unless you want a lopsided one. The one who gives will be sucked dry and the one who takes will never be contented. The dynamics and balance of giving is what keeps it going. I guess the more experienced ones know that one of the reasons why relationships fail, marriage or not, is that people get into one with a mindset of what they can get out of it---sex, money, house, car, etc., instead of what they can give.

Truth is, you can't give what you don't have either.

It doesn't really matter if you're young or old, its maturity that counts. Someone who was brought up in a loving environment, less materialistic, and knows the value of relationships, level headed, possesses a balance of love, ambition, and temperance, are more likely to be the keeper types. The "frustrating ones" mentioned here makes for good Instagram, Facebook, and bar talk. But that's as far as it will go. Physical beauty is a bonus as we all age anyway. But character, that's for a lifetime.

Meanwhile, just know yourself more, know what you really want out of life---career and all. Be the person you want to be go out and get to know more people. Then later, as you mature, you will eventually know and decide what kind of woman you want. More importantly you'll be ready yourself...

Give it a few years and enjoy.

because the 1940's happened over 70 years.

things happened, and that comparison falls under the same paradox as assuming that just because someone is of a certain ethnicity they must automatically be good at basketball/math/piano/chess etc.

No its not the 40's most women were still "homemakers" in the 50's though some did still work. You can thank the fucking FEMINISTS of the 1960's and 1970's for telling women that they had to work outside the home, and debased staying home barefoot and pregnant taking care of the man and kids, something we still see as a negative stereotype to this day..... (Unless of course your wife makes more than you do and are a stay at home dad that a great thing in the eye of the modern feminist 100% role reversal). An we wonder why the world is going to hell and todays youth have such a proclivity to run amok so easily, no one ever around but the TV to parent, teach and mentor the next generation.

While I tend to agree with you and I and the little woman are the embodiment of this mantra we are working on 14 years together. I will say once you have been together a long while the expense is minimal and the complication is much less than one would think. If we were to go down to the Magistrates office and file the paper work the cost is less than 200 bucks. The pay off is that we then being married would save us nearly a 1000 bucks a month, in the added tax benefits and being able to put her on my H/C plan and not having to shell out 625 a month for duplicate coverage from an over the counter source. It would also ENTITLE her to all the next of kin rights with out having to produce power of attorney paperwork, there by making things much simpler if something bad were to happen to me, and not have to fight with my family over things or my estate.

The flip side of this is, if things do ever go sour we can both just go our dam way and I dont end up paying for house I am not allowed to live in, 1/2 -2/3 of my assets, and have to pay her 4k a month or better just to be rid of her. As it is now I cut her a decent check to get by on her own for a few months till she can get on her feet, sign off on her truck, give her all her stuff and send her on her marry way. Its much cheaper if you ever feel that things might just go south, if you remain in a "couple" only kinda relationship.

There is 1 other issue that you must deal with in this situation in a long term relations ship. and that the common law marriage laws of the state you live in. Many of the states consider you married after 7 years of living together and if you go splitsville you or she can actually file for divorce, if it can be proven that you have lived as a marred couple for 7 years, and thats not all that hard to do with bank statements and insurance statements, how long you have shared an address yadda yadda yadda.........

I think you seem to have me confused with someone else. I dont care what women do with their time. When I am home I cook, she cooks, I help her with the house and what not we have a partnership. I have issues with the rest of society treating her as 2ed class citizen because she chooses to not work and stays at home to take care of that. I am gone for long periods and there is a lot work to be done here to keep things from falling down around our ears. Because I am able to provide a better living than many house holds can with 2 incomes, she is some how a bad person for not going into the work force then???

Equality rights my ass, its only equality rights when your doing what is P/C, when you buck that trend, and are "more traditional" or not towing that line you become a bigot or hate monger right. See your quoted post for this mind set way to go for making my point for me.
