Was just stating that my dog would most definitely get shot by a cop in his current state, and as his owner, i wouldnt be surprised if an officer felt threatened with a dog such as mine charging and barking at him. I am in the police academy myself, and completely understand the rationality of scenarios such as the one in the video. Does it make it easier to watch or do? no, but its one of the nasty thing that occasionally comes up in the line of work.

Also der affe, maybe it was just me, but the tone of your response to mine was a bit dickish, uncalled for, and over the top.

I am not sure what dialect of TEXAN you are speaking in the last statement, so I am no sure what you are trying to say. Sorry, I have no retort.

I was simply stating the truth and a jumping teeth bearing large dog IS NOT well behaved, (it is also not socialized). By your own admittance it's current state of behavior could cause it to have laboured breathing VIA lead poisoning, if it was in contact with one of the local constabulary.

If he was to behave in this manner to a stranger outside of your house, all it takes is a threatening dog complaint to local animal control and you now have fines and cort orders to seek and complete dog training ( I have a friend who works for animal control so I know this happens) because of your dogs "agressive" behavior.
This will also establish a record of "agressive" behavior with the local animal control (legally documented) and subsequent falls could result in your dog being euthanized.

If the truth hurts you so much, my petite, special flower; then maybe police work my not be such a good idea. As you can tell by people's reaction in both this thread and and on the video, you will face far greater adversity in the line of duty than a sharp tongued reaction to you dog's ill behavior.

I am so glad my dog is well trained (in German, no less). It is a relief to know that I will never be harassed, intimidated, or wrongfully arrested for exercising my civil liberties because my dog is well trained.

At least your dog will not be the cause of your incarceration, only your own stupidity.

It's fucking amazing the jumps in logic you internet detectives make.
YOU need go what the the video again not me, even after the dog had rolled on to the street twitching on the ground, the cop was still pointing the freaking gun..and standing about 20ft. Yea, what a threat
I'm not saying he should have put the gun back in the holster, but demn he could at least lower his harm. but whatever he prob was in a different state or may be tensed

That is great news! No more police officers misusing their authority. Also, declawing your cat will reduce the deficit.

Well by declawing your cat and paying the vet for the proceedure, you DO put more money into circulation.

Care to explain the e30 sized chip you seem to be supporting on your clavicle?

The dog was still moving/twitching, who knows if his poorly placed shots had actually done the job.

There was another video I saw this morning that is even more disgusting. Cops untie a dog, then restrain it using a long pole with the collar, get the dog calmed down, then the officer pulls out his gun and executes the dog in the driveway while it's restrained.

I was going to do it myself.

As for the E30 chip: The police share the blame for this tragedy. Bad owner, bad police, unfortunate dog.

Of course it was moving/twitching, that's because it was in PAINNNN...It just got shot 4 times unexpectedly! How did you expect the dog to react? sit, lay down gently and die? He should have just emptied the whole clip instead i guess....Come on people!

I just saw that video myself that you just spoke of, very sickening. here it is

But that's my point, he couldn't have known if the dog would get back up, now wounded and really pissed and try again.

Yes, once he decided to shoot the dog, he should have made sure it was over quickly.

Just like that POS in the video you linked, you can see after a few seconds the dog starts wagging his tail and the officer just keeps looking at him without ending his suffering.

I'll remember not to videotape some r3v members here if I might ever see them in person. I might get handcuffed and shot for resenting the fact. ;)

Nah, your untrained dog that you couldn't control charging and lunging would probably the one who would get shot.

But hey, if taking your dog to a crime scene, being obnoxious, parading it around, and purposely trying to cause a disturbance is your cup of tea, then you go right ahead showing off your lack of common sense. If your unleashed dog charges towards anyone with a gun and lunges at them because of your lack of control over it, that's all on you.

that owner has to be one the biggest idiots ever. who blares music and parks their car in the middle of the street when clearly a violet crime is in action. then gets out and walks the dog.
owner is 100% at fault. the cop is trash that should have been fired for his indiscretion a year ago. so it's also 100% the cops fault.
