I've had bad luck with Georgia drivers in Virginia. Not anywhere else, just in the DMV. I once had a guy pass me on the right on the shoulder to get ahead of me on the exit... and I was doing over the speed limit...

Anyway, DC is particularly bad. So many people from so many places with so many driving styles. Ugh.

I have been in Tulsa for a grand total 7 hours and I will 100% concur on this. As a resident of a popular tourist area that has been inundated by SoCal people fleeing the CA for a new place to fuck up, they I think must come in a close second. During tourist season (read summer) we get them from all over the place and most plates I see doing stupid shit the last 2 weeks I have been home OK, CA, AR.

CA is the worst. People just drive like shit, and i think alotta them do it on purpose, like " i dont give a fuck, i will drive however i like". My solution, drive crazier than them, and show them what "however i like" can actually be...

            Manic I haz question

Why is it (from what I can tell) 90% of tulsa dwellers ALWAYS drive 5-15 under posted limit, why do they have such a hard time responing to a light turning green, and why do they all seem to have a death grip on the steering wheel on the broken arrow expressway???

I had to venture down town today (form Broken Arrow) and I was surprised at how nice and clean it is but no one seems to have a clue how to drive. Also after having to walk 6 blocks and back is it always this hot in july here ?? :)

With the exception of the fine folks who frequent this forum of course.

Over the course of the last 60 days and four different road trips, I have driven extensively in and through Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. And I can say without a doubt that NC has the largest percentage of moronic drivers out of them all.

North Carolina, where not only will cars drive five under in the left lane (when there's no traffic in the right lane), and require prompting in the form of a headlight flash to move over into the right lane to allow you to pass, but they will actually move back over into the left lane once you clear them. Unreal.

Or there's my other favorite, which is when the driver(s) in the left lane match(es) speed with the traffic in the right lane, so everyone is going 5-10 under as cars continue to stack up behind.

Curiously, this is inversely proportionate to the quality of the roads in NC - at least the ones I traveled on. The majority of interstates and highways are recently paved and smooth as glass, and interchanges and overpasses are attractively landscaped. Traveling by road through NC would be an absolute pleasure if it weren't for its lethargic residents.

Cincinnati gets an honorable mention. That place sucks. And what's with that left shoulder that doubles as a bus lane?

Side note: SC has the worst roads of all of them. That decision is not even close.
Unfortunately I agree 100%, but my thought behind it is the mixing of northern driving and southern driving. Creates epic clusterfuck in terms of traffic. Interestingly, I was in Cincinnati this past week, and thing really weren't that bad for the most part. Though, there was the amazing incident where my future father-in-law was trying to get to an exit, but the car to his right refused to let him over. We eventually slowed down enough to get over and that person got in the middle lane. Who was this other driver? His completely oblivious sister... So yeah, maybe you're right on your honorable mention.

LA drivers either JDGAF or are completely oblivious to anything that isn't on their phone or in their purse. Combine that with EVERYONE speeding...well...

I was in Atlanta once. The "swing wide left before turning right into your driveway" move almost made me shit myself at least three times.

Minnesota. "Minnesota nice" is a farce, especially on the road. Driving anywhere between rush hour or even simple mild traffic is violence-inducing.

miami, hands down. I've driven in a ton of big cities, and nothing comes close to the blatant disregard for the rules drivers have in miami. to make things worse, they lead the nation in uninsured drives, so good luck getting your damage covered if one of the bozos hits you.

After driving through Chicago last night i retract my previous statements. Chicago has the worst divers I've ever encountered. I understand how they have 562 average traffic fatalities per year. If you're from Chicago, go fuck yourself. And fuck the White Sox. Go Cubbies.

Moved from CA to NC. CA drivers are a LOT worse. Only state I've lived where the left lane is the slow lane. I concur, too, NC roads are really well-maintained.

The craziest drivers I've experienced in the US:

                            Boston
                            Chicago
                            NYC

Some the most aggressive driving I have seen:

                            Atlanta
                            Detroit
                            Chicago
