where ever there are Azn and Indian women drivers and Prius smelling their own farts. you know you live with the worst drivers on earth.

merging on to high speed roads needs to be on the driver's test.

forgot to mention pot holes that never ever get patched. i've had to dodge a pot hole for 3 years now every day on my way to work
    Much wow
    I hate 4 doors

Ah yes....the "holier than thou" contigent on our roads. Don't even get me started with these folks.

I've spent my entire life in NorCal (specifically, Sacramento) and I've been to the bay area many many times. I think bay area drivers are better than where I live. The state capitol seems to have more than its fair share of bad drivers. They've raised 'rubber necking' to an art form.

And you left out all of SoCal. Equally bad. Except for those who post here ;)

      Jon
I didn't think NorCal was that bad when I lived there, unless it was due to a wreck, people seemed to yield to my cars.

SC has the worst roads of all of them. That decision is not even close.
        You speak the truth.

And as far as NC goes. My state pride says FU! But my honesty says, yes, people here (especially in small towns) suck with the whole passing lane deal. Practically forces me to take on the characteristics of a "darter."

Apparently you were here on days that didn't end in Y. The drivers here in Napa are the all time worst, as are the roads. (I can go take pics if no one believes me. ) Prius drivers are everywhere and like others have already said, they tend to be horribly bad. Then we have the drunks who have been wine tasting up and down the valley all day. People also don't seem to understand the concept of stopping for stop signs, or using a turn signal. For that matter they will make a right turn from the left turn lane through a red light on a regular basis ( I had 3 people pull that stunt in a 30 minute period while running errands one day) We also get the people who are hell bent on doing 15 mph under the speed limit on the major roads up and down the valley.

I gave up going for night rides on my bicycle around here. I've been nearly killed every time I've tried going on one due to someone driving on the wrong side of the road, running stop signs, or other stupid acts of driving. I've also been hit 3 times while not moving totaling one car, and severely wounding the other (one hit and run, one parking lot accident 2 weeks before the hit and run in the same car, and one rear ender while I was waiting to make a left turn on a two lane road with oncoming traffic.)

I could go on, but I think you get my point.

As a WA resident I have to agree. I find OR/WA drivers to be pretty good about moving over and not holding up traffic, and being courteous too. Of course we have morons just like everywhere else, but overall not a bad driving experience

I have driven in Northern CA before, when I visiting a friend outside the Bay Area. People down there drive a bit different then what I'm used to.

OR is so laid back... Only frustrating thing is everyone seems to go the speed limit and I'm used to at least 5 over hahaha.

Unreal.
We've discovered this in multiple states driving to race tracks. It's like they were taught the left-hand lane was the travel lane...

From the recent trip. Socal by far had the worst. I never understood road rage until I was inundated by retards behind the wheel of hummers, escalades, and yukons doing anywhere from 10-40mph more than speed limit. Mostly middle aged men and women talking on their cell phones with no regard to my little e30 being in the general vicinity. I saw more accidents on one highway than everywhere else in my entire life.

Seriously. Cali needs better drivers education.

North Carolina just had slow drivers. They at least used their signals and checked to see if you were there. No. Not in Cali.

This pretty much sums up my experience ~8 years ago in LA/SD.

CA sucks because people have huge pride along with their bad driving.

No kidding... I was born in San Jose (albeit I didn't live there very long), but I bought a cheap ass cali shirt from one of those tourist trap places during spring break. I bought it mostly to work on cars in. Anyways, I was wearing it in Colorado, walking through Walmart and, no joke, someone yells like halfway across the store basically accusing me of not being from Cali and wearing that shirt. What the fuck? There's like 30 million people in California, it's not fucking special...

Ditto on the NC driver thing.

The "Carolina Pull Out". Haven't seen it anywhere else but NC. 2 lane road, 55 mph limit, 60-75mph traffic...and the guy/gal pulls out from their country driveway and invokes the ABS of everyone else, mostly suburbans loaded with bikes, kids, and boards from the north. Light effort is made to accel to traffic speed, as if there was no oncoming traffic bearing down.

It's generally an oldsmobile cutlass, chevy caprice, or an older F150. Everytime
