Just got a new Motorola Surfboard 6141 modem.....really kicked up the speed.

I wasn't happy with what I was paying $70 for 25 down, 5 up.

I called them and told them I was planing to switch to another provider, but wanted to check with them if they had a better plan for me. You want to get connect to a customer retention service rep. They will give you the best deals. From what I understand you can sometimes get them to give you a special deal.

I didn't get a "special deal"....but I did end up getting my speed doubled, my bill dropped $20, and 40 channels of TV thrown in for free.

I'm now getting 50 down and 25 up for $50. I wish it was $30. But oh well....

The DOCSIS 3.0 will do you worlds of good. I wasn't breaking 10mbps with my old modem. got the new on, same service, and well you see the result.

Because we wont sign a 2 year contract with them we pay 60 bucks a month for this Century link is the only option we have here, and they have been getting slower and slower every year for a long time



This is my fucking hot spot I pay 70 a month for 10gb of data for when I am at work or out on the road and need it.
