I pay the same for internet/phone service with Comcast. I can't verify connection speed at the moment (at work).

Speed testing for comparison doesn't mean much unless everyone is testing to the same server. Most everyone is going to get a blazing result when they test to their own ISP backbone.

Wow, is that as fast as is available over there in Potatoland? Over here Cable One offers $70 a month for 50 Mbps. Of course you end up with 1mbps at 5pm because it's cable.

On the Cable One front, it is a commercial account, they sold it to us as 50mb/s, but I have never been close to that, and I've tested at 3AM, and every other time of the day. 12 has always been the fastest I could pull.

You should tear them a new one. Although I'm not surprised Cable One is doing that to you. Every time I have to call Century link (seemly weekly) they are always in Idaho Falls and are amazed I live in Idaho too.
