That's right, you guessed it! This week, we are at Top Gear Test Track using a totally stock Suzuki Liana! I thought this would be a fun stock challenge, see how we stack up against the actual stars. Make sure it's a standing start, just like the show. I'll see if I can find a leaderboard from the show.

See this is strange. On the show they talk about being in fifth on the fast part.
I struggled to get into 4th......
BUt yes Thats weird I figured the times would be slower in the game........sigpic"If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself." -Ferdinand Porsche

I'd bet the redline in real life is quite a bit lower. 8k is pretty optimistic.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. Despite all the hot air they blow about "tire deflection physics oh man so awesome," you just can't behave the same way in a video game as you can in a real car. Unless I'm actually four seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton and need to find a real Liana RIGHT. NOW.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? LOL. GT5 really improved my driving line. Can't drive euros like I drive them in real life. Anything Japanese I feels like a toy so easy to driveI'd bet the redline in real life is quite a bit lower. 8k is pretty optimistic.

SO I may ask did you do a once by for your time? All the top gear times are from a standing start. (oops saw that in the rules Hmmm now I feel slow)
I just ran a low 46 with a standing start.
8K red line? Am I in the wrong car? The redline on the tach is like 6300 limiter at like 7.sigpic"If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself." -Ferdinand Porsche

Whooops, meant 7. Was going off memory. Yes, did a standing start but I'll see if I can find a chance to do another one to make sure. Also, that's true but might as well leave ours stock since the video game advantage makes up for it.Last edited by ELVA164; 07-19-2013, 06:10 PM.Interested in vintage cars? I hit a 1.44.060 but it wasn't clean. It's too easy to clip the third to last corner.Comment
