    I would say that the datsun 510 compares to the e30. My 510 is what got me into e30's

    My father owned a four door Datsun (late 70 early 80s model) but I can't remember the model. I learned driving stick from the passenger seat as my father did the pedaling in South Philly, btw, however, I distinctly remember the car being pretty rusty in certain parts and this was the late 80s early 90s. Not sure if that is indicative of that period of Datsun.

    Gas mileage, oil mileage (well my M20 gave it a run for its money but still), shifter return spring, interior space/practicality, lights that function after 25 years... :p
