so i dont have an ohms reader but ive been building on a mechanical lately.

i have a tobh "atty" rba, sentinel m16 clone for a battery tube, and just some regular ass 18650's


so far ive been building nothing but 28g micro coils, very small in diameter and no more than 7 wraps.

curious what else i should give a try building?

Just picked up some dual coils for my Kanger mini protank 3, love it. I cant get down with all these crazy mods and drip tips, it's too much of a novelty at that point.

That box that Farbin posted is known as a Hana Clone. Probably the version 3 made by Cloupour. Its referred to as the "Cana" Mod. Replace the H from Hana mod with C from the name - Cloupor and one gets "Cana"

They are a variable wattage device that uses a cloned chip/ screen inside.
The reason variable wattage is appealing is because it allows one to adjust the wattage to a given level and attain what one would like to vape -either lots of clouds -cloudchasing (higher wattage) or lots of flavor (lower wattage) or a mixture of the 2.

Then once the wattage is set- The device keeps that same wattage output over the life of the battery or batteries until a charge is needed.

Regular old unregulated mods (dildo style) that do not have a chip technology - Start out with a very high wattage output and diminish over the usable life of the battery as the charge is depleted so its really not the same vape and experience over the life cycle of the battery.


That chip /screen that Farbin shows is Chinese made and reported to a 1:1 knock off of a chip/screen named the DNA 30 which was provided in the authentic Hana Mod.
The 30 refers to the total watts that one can select. 30 watts maximum output.

The problem with the Cloupour knockoffs is what Farbin has experienced. There is an increased possiblity to fry the internal variable wattage chip. There are many reports of this happening and it is really the luck of the draw. Some of these Cloupour mods function fine for long periods of time and others well they "Farbinate" (thats Farbin and detonate)

I see the posts with the other Farbin-ism's so I figured I would add a new one.

The reason for going with the Cloupor knock off "clone" of the original Hana Mod which uses a genuine DNA 30 chip is the same draw that all clones offer. Lower cost with claimed identical or better performance.

There are also variable wattage mods that come in the Dildo or tube shape as well. These variable wattage chips are independent of the design of the mod -be it tube style , box,or fricken plastic origami crane. There are other variable wattage chips and devices on the market and the DNA version of chips made by Evolv was essentially the first of their kind.
Sigeli is about to release a box mod with a chip that will demolish all of the variable wattage devices. Its on pre-order with a few sites.

It stands out because it is 100 watts variable . Vaping 100 watts is ridiculous!
Its announced price is 99 dollars. So that slams any other manufacturer as its cost will be only 1 dollar per watt.
This new box mod has a mode that will automatically select the best wattage for whatever coil within an RDA or RBA or tank. So just build the coil or install the tank and press a series of button presses and Viola the perfect wattage is selected and maintained. No more pressing the button up and down to try and find the wattage "sweet spot" for vapor production and flavor.

I picked up a bunch of DNA 20 and 30 chips for my personal box mod creations.

Spencer - Build a dual rollercoaster first using the 28 G Kanthal then build a dual dragon coil and then build a quad just for the practice.

Then if you really want to expand your skills. Take your 28 G Kanthal and get some flat.18 ribbon wire. Chuck each piece up in your drill and under slow revolutions wind them upon each other so you get what is known as twisted wire. The ribbon wire is flatter and has more surface area! So when combined round and flat ribbon wire the wick - Ekowool , organic cotton , ceramic- whatever has more heat disipated onto it creating more vapor and better flavor.

I have two 28 gauge parallel coils on my RDA right now. Measures 0.2 ohms and hits like a freight train. 28 gauge is doodoo though :/

Picked up a Helmsman clone from a friend while I wait for Fasttech to send me the RMA so I can swap it out. I won't be using an RDA with it again, maybe just keep it for my Nautilus for ease of use and not needing to drip.

Yea I wouldn't use the supplied battery. Efest 35amp or vtc4-5 is good enough since its only a 30 watt mod. Just remember there no reverse battery protection so you could fry its fairly easily.

The efest "35A" is actually an LGEH2. It's continuous discharge amperage is 20A. Beware.

Regular ass 18650 on a mech doesn't sound like a good idea. Ever seen an ICR battery vent itself? Use hybrid or IMR only.

Why do you guys always say clone this and that why not get the real thing?

^For example, the box above I got was $56 for a clone, or $250+ for a genuine. I wanted to try it out before dropping big bucks. I wasn't excited enough about it to buy the pricey one.

Just bought an MVP VW box to replace my vision spinner setup. I hope it is worth the $40 I spent. I was thinking of just going for the full box mod and putting my own 18650's in there, but it was getting too pricey.
