Ever thought about a giant leap?

I've been pondering very seriously lately about selling all my possessions and moving to Costa Rica. Cool place, democracy, not at war with anyone. Don't mind a minimalist lifestyle.

    Anyone live(d) there? Thoughts? Rob?

When I graduate, I really want to go work some place "exotic". Not necessarily tropical, just some where out of the country...

My brother did it to Alaska with only $200 in his pocket, no job, no place to stay, no nothing and doing this January 7th of 2007. He has done well for himself and now has his own place and makes a honest wage.

          More balls than me!

Have considered doing a stint up on the slope, or something in Australia, or just maybe going to work off shore/or foreign stints for 90 days on 30 off. But I can make just as much if not more staying right here in the USA/Lower 48 for the time being

i was thinking about doing it to get out of commiefornia. maybe oregon or Washington, but from what ive heard Oregon has pretty shitty job market as of late.

or somewhere in the rural areas of scotland with all the green grass and live in a little cottage....thats a dream though

I have thought about doing the same and heading to Germany. Not for a better job or anything that would be financially rewarding, but to head back to a country where my family started from.

My buddy did just that for a year in costa rica. Got over it after about a year, now he's back here working for some tech company. Best part he said was never wearing a shirt.

I'm planning on selling my house when the market is near peak again, and instead of putting the money toward a better house or college (hope to make at least $40k from my house) I'm fantasing about funding a trip around the world in my e30. I want to driving across every continent to see and experience as much as possible, especially to tour the regions and sites of ancient civilizations. I want to do something like that before I'm 30.

My best friend did that, He teaches english and lives in Seoul. He has summers off so he travels everywhere and does really cool shit all the time. At the moment he's in South Africa rock climbing. I'm rather envious of him. I'm too big of a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles to leave the comfort of my financial blanket (aka my job).

I would like to spend some time in Belize or something. I could even keep my job, but the commute would be hell.
