I think Rhode Island Guard is a good opportunity, They have opening in as Loadmasters. Fun job, young mans job in tactical Aircraft. Airdrop and and low level work. I'm too old for that lifestyle now, just as Bradley is getting C-130K or J's right now. Would have loved a AGR job. Retire in 11 more years with excellent retirement. I've got 135 days till my active duty retirement right now which is awesome since I am a traditional reservist.

keep ignoring what I posted!!!! that's why you can't afford a set of tires.
1992 Hondas are actually where the money is at. seriously. find a small garage and do side jobs, people with old turd cars are the ones that are going to flock to you. There are always people looking to get rid of broke cars, get one cheap, fix it cheap, sell, and keep on flipping until you have some money built up.
I honestly don't start working until after work if you know what I mean.

See if you can downsize your box; trade it in to the tool dealer for something used.
Some other tips if you aren't doing so already:
Don't eat out, buy groceries, pack your lunch. Take a water bottle to work and fill it up from a water fountain. Cancel the cable for your TV, you don't need it. Don't buy alcohol, its too expensive. Do you smoke? Stop, you can't afford it. Do you need to pay for a smart phone and its monthly service plan? Probably not.

With your automotive knowledge once you got out of school the first thing I would of done would be searching craigslist for cars in need of repair. Bought a swapped E30 for 1500 iirc and sold it for 3500. Needed the G260 replaced. $2000 profit. Next was a 95 M3 needing rear brakes. Made another $2000 on that. Use the knowledge you have, and paid for.
